We won’t provide any cash money. No more shopping, and we’ll limit the EDC (electronic data capture). We’ll collaborate with reliable store like Gramedia, Gunung Agung, and other stores which cannot do tricky tricks,” he said at City Hall, Thursday (8/4).

Ahok explained that by using non-cash transaction method, he can detect its use. Therefore the KJP misuses can be minimized.

KJP Abuser will Be Published in Mass Media

“No more cash withdrawal. The misuse chance is widely open if we still use cash system. That’s why I reluctant being so welcome to them,” he uttered.

Previously, KJP fund could be used in last event of Jakarta Book & Education Fair 2015. But surprisingly, the committee instead raised its prices up to 25 percent. Ahok then allowed to do the transaction in all stores. Unfortunately, the policy had been being abused by a few people by buying for non-educational needs.

“The exhibition was held by Indonesian Publishers Association (IKAPI). Suddenly, the price was raised up. Then I directed to other small book stores. In fact, the card holders bought other things," he explained.

Ahok received the report of KJP misuse from Bank DKI and Education Department. The report revealed there were purchases for karaoke, jewelry, and gas station.
